Nov. 20, 2023 - Students who identify with or stand in support of the Asian/Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities are invited to join the Asian/Asian American Pacific Islander Association (AAPIA) at CSUCI. Through this free membership, students will have the opportunity to connect with other students as well as staff and faculty who are part of the AAPI network on campus. AAPIA seeks to foster awareness of AAPI identities, cultures, and histories through the organization and sponsorship of activities on campus and in the broader community. Throughout the year, members will have the opportunity to participate in social events such as potlucks, cultural events such as dance demonstrations, and academic events such as guest lectures sponsored by the AAPIA.
The association also serves as a platform to represent the concerns and interests of AAPI students, faculty, and staff when pertinent issues are deliberated in the academic senate and other decision-making bodies. To learn more about AAPIA, please visit the association's website.
