April 6, 2022 - CSU Channel Islands' reaccreditation efforts began in Fall of 2021 and will continue over the next couple of years, and the Thematic Pathways for Reaffirmation Advisory Committee would like to provide an update.
Given the University’s strong interim report in Spring of 2021, CSUCI is eligible to complete the Thematic Pathway for Review (TPR), where we must choose specific themes around which to organize our work. A diverse group of campus stakeholders have been meeting and collecting data over the last few months to guide our work and determine our themes based on student, faculty, and staff feedback.
We recently landed on the theme of “Brechas por cerrar, Escaleras por construir, ” which means “Closing Gaps, Building Ladders.” We believe this overarching theme speaks to the variety of work that is occurring on our campus, an HSI, to support three main subthemes: Academic Quality & Student-Centered Infrastructure, Student Services, Support & Development, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility.
Over the next couple of weeks, we will provide the opportunity for the campus community to provide feedback and interact with the work that has been done thus far. We invite you to join us for the following open forum as it relates to your interaction with the university.
