Feb. 11, 2022 – Join us virtually on Wednesday, Feb. 16 from 4 to 5 p.m. PST for a guest lecture presented by Amina, S. McIntyre, a Vanderbilt University Ph.D. student in Religion, area Religion, Psychology, and Culture, with minors in Womanist Ethnography and Homiletics and Liturgics.
Through the lens of theatre and theology, Amina will explore the connection between communal spiritual care in homes, centers, and healthcare environments and Black joy.
Registration is required and spots can be reserved online. All are welcome to attend.
Ms. McIntyre earned a BA in Anthropology at Colby College, MA in African American and African Diaspora Studies at Indiana University, MFA in Playwriting at Spalding University, and Master of Theological Studies at Candler School of Theology at Emory University. An Atlanta regional playwright, She holds production credits at Actor’s Express, Atlanta History Museum, Out of Hand Theatre, Oakland Cemetery, and Vanguard Repertory Theatre. She is an Elder in Full Connection with the CME Church, a PRN Chaplain, and a Co-Founder of Hush Harbor Lab, a new play development company featuring the work of Black Artists and Black Stories.
