Feb. 8, 2022 – The theme this year for Black History Month – celebrated each year in February – is Black Health and Wellness. The John Spoor Broome Library is pleased to share a new display in the Reading Room which features books and material as part of an event display for this month. Those interested in checking out material from the display are welcome to do so. In addition, the campus community is invited to check out this Informative Black History Month Resource Guide, available to accompany the display.
The Library is also excited to announce that Blind Date with a Book is up and running! Stop by the Library at your convenience to peruse the selection of print books available in the lobby of the main entrance. Students can read profiles, select a bag with a book, check it out, and enjoy a small, sweet treat, too! Not coming to campus or working remote? Don’t worry! Online “dating” is an option via the Blind Date with a Book Resource Guide! Use this guide to read a profile, select a book and get to reading.
