Oct. 28, 2022 - The campus community is invited to a Total Lunar Eclipse Star Party on Tuesday, Nov. 8, from 1:30 to 3 a.m. at Portrero Field A/Student Therapy Garden.

Join Assistant Professor of Physics Kevin Hayakawa's Astronomy 112 class for a telescope-viewing session to see the last total lunar eclipse until 2025. A total lunar eclipse occurs when the moon passes directly through the earth's shadow. Eclipse watchers can see the moon turn "blood red" when the eclipse reaches totality.

Hot chocolate and donuts will be available. The event is sponsored in part by CSUCI's 20th Anniversary. For more information, email Hayakawa at kevin.hayakawa@csuci.edu.
