Dec. 8, 2023 - Congratulations to Kirsten Olson, Senior Director of Counseling & Psychological Services in the Dean of Students Office, on receiving the 3rd annual Excellence in Efficiency Award!
Kirsten's work on the Campus Access, Retention, & Equity (CARE) Team Case Management Model, which is comprised of several Student Services Professionals in the Division of Student Affairs, is estimated to save over 33 work hours per month equating to about $40,000 worth of work efficiency per year.
The Excellence in Efficiency Award is awarded annually to a team or department on campus for a project/effort that resulted in measurable improvements to increased efficiency, monetary savings, increased revenue, and/or improved customer service. All process improvement and efficiency projects reported to the Administrative Efficiencies Committee and implemented during FY22-23 were eligible.
The other finalists for this year’s award included:
- Scheduling Student Worker Appointments Using Calendly led by Jessica Parker, Manager of Human Resource Operations (BFA) saved - $30,000 in efficiency savings.
- Faculty Reassign Time led by Geri-Lyn Himebaugh, (AA) Budget Analyst, saved - $17,400 in efficiency savings.
