March 1 2024 - The Center for Community Engagement, in partnership with Associated Students Inc., Chicana/o Studies, Inclusive Student Services, the Center for Multicultural Engagement, Student Academic Success & Equity Initiatives, and the Success and Inclusion for Graduate & Undergraduate Academic Excellence invites the campus community to the showing of “Hailing César” on Tuesday, March 5 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in Aliso Hall 150.
The film chronicles Eduardo Chávez and his journey to understanding the legacy and struggle of his grandfather, César Chávez. The film explores themes of immigration, social justice, and personal identity. A Q&A with the filmmaker will follow. Film run time: 60 minutes.
