Oct. 5, 2022 - The CSUCI Public Safety Department’s Pink Patch Project is running throughout the month of October again this year. Uniformed personnel are wearing pink shoulder patches during Breast Cancer Awareness Month to stimulate conversations about the importance of early detection and treatment during their daily contact with community members.
This year, the department is again raising money to establish a campus scholarship for students who have had or have been impacted by cancer. Pink patches are available for a minimum donation of $10. New 2022 CSUCI PD Pink Patch T-Shirts are available for a minimum donation of $20. This year’s T-shirt features the department’s pink patch on the front and a new design submitted by Officer Jenna Kushigemachi on the back.
Donations can be made online or in person at Placer Hall from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Follow @CI_Police on Instagram and Twitter and @CIPolice on Facebook to find an event where the patches and T-shirts will be available. For more information, email police@csuci.edu.
