Feb. 6, 2024 - Research and Sponsored Programs is pleased to announce that the National Institutes of Health (NIH), via subaward from the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) has awarded $17,595 in continued funding to Professor Alona Kryshchenko's project: “Precision Dosing for Critically Ill Children.” Professor Kryshchenko works with the CHLA group on improving the methods she developed during her Ph.D. and post-doctoral education.
This project utilizes a method that focuses on predicting renal function and vancomycin (an antibiotic) in critically ill children with sepsis or suspected sepsis as a vulnerable target group, to frame and test this innovative portion of work.
