Dec. 7, 2022 — The recently formed CSU Channel Islands Retiree Association will hold its first board meeting on Thursday, Dec. 8, at 11 a.m. in the Student Union Treehouse Courtyard.

The association was started to help retirees maintain a fruitful association with the University, provide social and educational programs and opportunities, promote and protect the rights of retirees, and improve the retirement program.

The group plans to hold on- and off-campus events to help reconnect retirees with colleagues and University. It also provides information about University events and other opportunities for retirees to participate in the life of the campus.

The association is affiliated with the California State University Emeritus and Retired Faculty & Staff Association (CSU-ERFSA). CSUCI retirees can join the association by becoming a member of CSU ERFSA.

All are welcome to the family-friendly event.

For additional questions, email Dan Wakelee at dan.wakelee@csuci.edu. Updated information about activities is posted on the association’s Facebook page.
