Feb. 2, 2024 - A severe cold winter storm is forecasted for Sunday, Feb. 4 and is expected to last a few days. The significant weather from this storm will affect communities in our tri-county area, impacting travel and causing possible floods in low-lying areas. Officials have issued a flood watch for Ventura County beginning late Saturday through early next week.

We ask that faculty communicate with students about any changes to class meetings for Monday and Tuesday, should they be moved from in-person to online. We also encourage employees to discuss with their supervisor whether they are able to work from home during this timeframe, and supervisors are asked to provide as much flexibility as possible.

The campus will remain open and University services will continue to be provided.

Weather updates can be found by visiting www.weather.gov/lox and roadway updates can be found by visiting: https://roads.dot.ca.gov/.

All campus community members are strongly urged to exercise caution to help keep themselves and others out of harm’s way.
