The openCI Ambassador program is a cohort program that runs each Fall and Spring semester. Faculty work together to learn about textbook affordability efforts at CI, explore trends in open educational resources in higher education, and consider how these efforts relate to student success. A cohort group of 10 faculty are selected each Fall and Spring to participate. The cohort engages in a 5-day workout in Canvas, and meet 3x during the semester to discuss these topics in more depth, with the intent adopting OER or reducing course materials costs.
