Across different administrative units and offices, CSUCI maintains different types of partnerships with many different organizations and entities. The REP office focuses on educational partnerships that:

• have campus-wide implications, are cross-divisional, and provide multi-disciplinary opportunities
• involve facilities, land, and other resources that serve as hubs of partnerships
• contribute to career preparation and workforce development
• connect with regional and place-based priorities
• advance One Health initiatives – health and wellness of communities and environment - through collaborative networks

The work of the REP office is both externally and internally facing. It includes creating and managing educationally-focused agreements with government agencies and non-profit organizations. It also involves working collaboratively with different divisions, units, and offices across the CSUCI campus.

The REP office includes the following areas of oversight and facilitation:

  • NAGPRA
  • President’s Chumash Advisory Council
• Santa Barbara Zoo Conservation Center planning
