As an institution of higher learning, CSUCI is committed to the process of learning and development of its faculty, staff and administrators.  The programs listed below provide such opportunity and aims to expand professional development opportunity that cultivate leadership skills and enhanced career success for faculty and staff.

President's Operational Effectiveness Collaborative (POEC)

POEC was created in Fall 2023 to understand root causes of operational challenges. Staff, faculty, and administrators from across campus submit proposals about a real-life issue or process at CSUCI that they wanted to study, learn from, resolve, and/or improve upon. The teams that were selected began their work by learning how to use multiple lenses for analyzing challenges (and successes) before beginning to make recommendations for improvement (or how to grow successes in other areas).

Faculty Fellow Program

The purpose of the President’s Faculty Fellow Program is to cultivate faculty leadership through the advancement of institutional mission fulfillment. As part of the program, the Faculty Fellow will gain exposure to the complexity of running an academic enterprise through a variety of means including having regular meetings with the President and Cabinet, as well as attending various university and system-wide meetings.
