We invite you to participate in a unique campus wide experience with artificial intelligence that has been designed to: (1) answer your questions about the meaning of One Health and the strategies identified for pursuing it, using results of our late Fall-early Spring research and conversations for AI-generated responses, (2) collect examples that showcase existing curricular and co-curricular activities and experiences related to the One Health theme and strategies, and (3) provide a shared experience in the use of AI – a technology that invites excitement and trepidation, perhaps in equal measure, and that our students need us to understand and lead in its responsible use.
Here is how interacting with Vision Chat will work:
- Your voice, amplified - The expert AI assistant will serve as a vehicle for gathering and synthesizing community input, ensuring every voice that participates is heard and valued.
- Privacy and respect - We are dedicated to the ethical use of technology. Your participation is voluntary, and all interactions will adhere to the highest standards of data privacy and security. Personal data will not be stored or used beyond the scope of this initiative without explicit consent. We have chosen ProtoBots as the platform for Vision chat for this very reason, which unlike other generative AI options, protects ownership of all information provided to it.
- Human-centered - While we're embracing emerging technology and leveraging AI to assist in this process, the heart of CSUCI for 2030+ and the Vision Chat remains the human experience and wisdom of our community. The technology is here to facilitate and enhance our dialogue, not replace the experience of engaging with one another. More opportunities to do just that will follow.
