What is Title IX?

Campus Partnerships and Initiatives
Title IX and Inclusion is not an island, and operates within a diverse network of partnerships that span across campus. Depending on the needs of any individual case, the office provides support to and consults with other departments and programs, including but not limited to: Employee Relations; Faculty Affairs; Student Conduct; Disability Accommodation and Support Services; Counseling and Psychological Services; and the CARE Team. Furthermore, as Title IX Coordinator and DHR Administrator, the Executive Director is a member of CSUCI ’s Behavioral Intervention Team, an interdisciplinary team of experts which meets regularly to assess prospective threats on campus and sensitive cases.
Title IX and Inclusion contributes to multiple initiatives on campus, including but not limited to: the President’s Advisory Council on Inclusive Excellence; the President’s Planning and Policy Council; the Campus Climate Survey Committee, the Accessible Technology Initiative Steering Committee; and the Preparedness Working Group. As the University’s ADA Coordinator, the Executive Director also chairs the University’s ADA Advisory Committee.
Through these partnerships and initiatives, Title IX and Inclusion promotes compliance throughout the campus, while striving to build a community of care, focused around the pillars of diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and access.
