Your program
In CSUCI’s Dance Studies program, you’ll combine movement courses with history, theory, education, performance, and dance making to gain valuable, hands-on exposure to the diverse settings, challenges, populations, trends and opportunities in dance and dance adjacent careers. CSU Channel Islands dance faculty have experience in various fields of dance from commercial work, concert dance, musical theatre, dance administration, and education. The Dance X-perience Series, Hip Hop Dance Masters Series, and the Living Room Series introduces students to important figures within the field of Dance helping students to shape a trajectory that complements their interests, talents, and lifelong goals with a life in dance.
The program culminates in a capstone project designed by the student to help launch them into the vast opportunities for dance and dance adjacent careers in the 21st century.
