Fall 2023: Mock Site Visit and editing of the institutional report

Spring 2024: Institutional Report sent to WSCUC and Site Visit

What is WSCUC?

The Western Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC), formerly known as “WASC,” is the accrediting agency that aids institutions in developing and sustaining effective educational programs, while assuring the community that the accredited institution has met the high standards of quality and effectiveness.

What is TPR?

Thematic Pathway for Reaffirmation (TPR) is a streamlined, alternate pathway for reaffirmation for eligible institutions that demonstrate consistent evidence of a healthy fiscal condition, strong student achievement indicators, and sustained quality performance.

What has been accomplished so far since the beginning of Fall 2022?

✔   The Reaffirmation Steering Committee (RSC) was formed, and a kick-off meeting with a series of standing meetings were held.

✔  WSCUC Vice President conducted a TPR orientation for senior leadership and the RSC.

✔  8 Writing and Planning Teams (23 faculty, staff, and administrators, see full roster on the TPR website) were formed and developed plans to create the 1st Draft of the Institutional Report. 

✔  Two presentations to the Academic Senate about TPR and the reaffirmation process occurred with the comments collected and returned to  campus 

✔  Data collection and assessment for the draft Institutional Report will begin.

✔  CI@CI was developed and implemented for a Spring 2023 launch.

What will be accomplished in Spring 2023?

  • The Reaffirmation Steering Committee (RSC) teams will continue to engage in the self-study work.
  • CI@CI events and training will take place. See Spring 2023 schedule of events for details.
  • RSC will conduct an TPR orientation for leadership across divisions.
  • Select an editor(s) for the Institutional Report.
  • Data collection and assessment for the draft Institutional Report will begin.
  • Workgroup Leaders will begin drafting the sections of the Institutional Report.
