Congratulations Future Dolphin on your provisional admission to CSU Channel Islands. Now that you have been admitted, here are your next steps. Watch video above for instructions on how to complete the steps of the admission process via your myCI portal

By now you should have received your admitted email and login information to our myCI Student portal. If not, please contact admissions@csuci.edu and we can resend you the information. You should also get familiar with our admitted student web pages at go.csuci.edu/Admitted. Here you will find a list of upcoming dates, deadlines, and events. Always refer to the website for any changes. 

To begin, you need to get on your electronic device.  A desktop or tablet is suggested. Type in www.csuci.edu to access our CSUCI main web page. Go to the top right corner, and click on the star icon labeled “myCI”. Your myCI student portal is where you will go to complete most of the required admission steps. Once you have logged in, you will see a series of gray buttons. As you enroll and start at CSUCI, you will have access to more buttons that will become very helpful during your time here.  

Once you have logged into MyCI, you are going to click on the gray button labeled “CI Records”. CI Records will be your main go-to button during the admission process. Here you will have access to accept your offer of admission, update your address, see your holds, view your To-Do list, and any important student messages under the Student Message Center. Once you become a student, you will also use the CI Records to register for classes, review your CARR report, and even make tuition payments. 

Step #1: Accept or decline your provisional offer of admission.

To do this, you would need to scroll down to the bottom of the page. Under the Admissions section, select “Accept” or "Decline”. After making your selection, you will simply follow the prompts to complete this step.  

If you have accepted your provisional offer of admission, you will notice a yellow triangle under the Admission section of your Student Center.  At this time, you can ignore this yellow triangle, but it is very important that you pay attention to the items on your To-Do List for next steps. 

Step 2: Choose Your Mandatory Advising & Registration Session  

The next step in the Admission process is to register for an Advising & Registration session. If you have logged out of your myCI portal while completing the first step. You can always access your next step link from your To-Do list item. There will be a series of sessions available. Please select the session that is most convenient for you. Note: this next step may take up to an hour to appear on your To-Do list.

As a reminder, we ask that you submit any preliminary college transcript(s) and or AP test scores 2-3 weeks before your scheduled Advising & Registration session. This helps the advisors to choose the correct courses you would need to register based on the college coursework you have completed. If you are an incoming freshman, you would only need to submit college transcript(s) and or AP test scores if you have taken any college coursework or have passed any AP tests during high school. Step 2: Choose Your Mandatory Orientation Session  

Once you have registered for your Advising & Registration session, you will need to then register for your Mandatory Orientation. Again, to access this site, you can click the link on your To-Do list item when you log onto your myCI portal under CI Records. There will be a series of sessions available based on major. Step 3: Pay the Non-Refundable Orientation Fee 

After you have registered for both your Advising & Registration and Orientation sessions, you will be prompted to pay the non-refundable orientation fee.  It is highly recommended that you pay the orientation fee before you log out.  If you do log out prior to submitting your payment, you will need to use the payment link that is in your myCI Student Center, under the Finance section, then click on the “Make a payment” link. Additional Upcoming Deadlines:

Once you have paid your orientation fee, your next step would be to submit your Final Official Transcript(s) by the designated deadline. Please review all upcoming deadlines by visiting go.csuci.edu/Admitted
