Advising Model
The advising model at CI is a partnership between the student, academic advisors, and faculty. Academic Advisors assist students from New Student Advising & Registration to graduation. Advising employs a holistic approach when counseling students so students can maximize their educational opportunities and make critical decisions about their education, career, and life goals.
Students have assigned academic advisors by major, but faculty advisors are the experts in the major. For questions about major course substitutions, major course selection, graduate school, and career exploration, see your faculty advisor.
