Western Association of Graduate Schools: 3MT Competition (April 1-3, Online)
How to Apply for Internal Selection
- Submit nominations for our internal competition by February 15 to hyesun.lee@csuci.edu. The Internal competition will be held via Zoom on Friday, February 20.

Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled in a Master’s or Doctoral program. The winner will be nominated for the WAGS 3MT competition

Internal nominations should include:

Competitor’s name, email, and graduate program

Faculty advisor’s name and email

Thesis/project title and 100-150-word abstract

Guidelines and judging criteria for the internal selection will be sent after nominations are received.

2026 CSU Grad Slam: 3MT Competition (May 1, CSU Fullerton)
The system-wide preliminary rounds are scheduled from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m., where students will deliver their presentations before an initial panel of judges. The final round will begin at 1:00 p.m., where the highest-scoring presenters from each of the preliminary rounds will face off for top prizes, including the Audience Choice award.

- Abstract submission deadline: Friday, April 10
- Submit your abstract (150-300 words) here!
- Acceptance decisions will be sent on April 15th, and registration must be completed by Monday, April 20th.
- Join us for Grad Connect Lunch (12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.), followed by our innagural Graduate Student Poster Session (2:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.) to connect and celebrate graduate student research!
- There will be two thesis/research project awards:
- Best Thesis/Research Project Awards
- Best Integrative Thesis/Research Project Awards
