Graduating seniors nominated for honors by the Cal State Channel Islands (CSUCI) faculty will be recognized and presented with awards at the 2026 Honors Convocation Friday May 15 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. in the North Quad. 

The ceremony is open to all students earning honors and graduating between Fall 2025 through Summer 2026. Those recieving honors would have received an email inviting them to Honors Convocation. 

University Honors includes: 

  1. Complete a minimum 30 units of courses taken at CI for a letter grade
  2. Earn a grade point average of 3.50 or above in all work taken at CI
  3. Earn the following cumulative grade point average in all undergraduate courses, including transfer work:
    • Cum laude – all students who earn a grade point average of 3.50 - 3.74.
    • Magna cum laude - all students who earn a grade point average of 3.75-3.89.
    • Summa cum laude – all student who earn a grade point average of 3.90-4.00.

CSUCI will also recognize high-achieving students in each major with Program Honors and Mission Based Centers.

A coffee and dessert reception will be held in the North Quad immediately after the ceremony.
