The Central Plant’s main function is to provide the campus with a centralized source for heating and cooling the buildings. The plant accomplishes this by creating hot and cold water, delivered through a piping network that is connected to each building’s heating and cooling systems. The second function of the plant is to monitor the temperatures and conditions of every space on campus to enhance the learning environment.
