CSUCI's Peer Mentor Ambassador Program gives students the opportunity to earn a $3,500 per semester stipend in return for advising and mentoring fellow students. Earning a stipend the equivalent of one semester's worth of fees and tuition not only eases the financial burden of paying for college, its ripple effect improves the student retention and graduation rates, thereby turning out more college-educated workers to meet the workforce needs of the region's business and technology employers. We know that 40 peer mentors can impact the success of at least 400 CSUCI students. And this is only the beginning!
For the purpose of strengthening the development program so that it may work to increase philanthropic support of CSUCI as well as partially defray administrative costs, a portion of all donations will be used to further advancement efforts on behalf of CSU Channel Islands.
