Matthew Zivot, Ph.D. serves as Director of Institutional Research and Chief Data Officer. Within these roles, Matt:
- champions the intentional dissemination of university data and related research,
- advocates for using data to inform decision making,
- coordinates policies and practices that lead to consistent, correct, and meaningful data, and
- oversees the members of the Institutional Research office.

Kristin Jordan, Ph.D.
Kristin Jordan, Ph.D. serves as a Data Scientist. Within this role, Kristin:
- conducts in-depth analyses and creates interactive data visualizations to better understand the experiences of our campus community and support campus decision-making, with a particular focus on student enrollment, class experiences and outcomes, retention, and graduation,
- supports the data needs of key campus initiatives, including GI 2025, EO 1110, HSI grants, Program Review, and WASC Accreditation,
- and provides resources, workshops, and trainings to support student, faculty, staff, and administrator’s responsible and accurate use of data and data tools.
