Amparo Lopez Tostado graduates with a BA in Spanish and a Minor in Communication. She has worked diligently for the Center for International Affairs, helping to promote international engagement by planning events and meetings to inform students about studying abroad. She is part of the EOP program, and a member of the Spanish club. She studied in Spain for a year, and came back with a desire to be an ambassador for studying abroad among fellow students. . . . Recently, her passion for learning about new cultures prompted her to take an introductory course in Arabic. As her nominator noted: “Not only is Amparo a very responsible and competent student assistant, but she also has served as a bridge between our office and the EOP Office to form a very positive collaboration to reach out to minority students.”
