As the first public, four-year university in Ventura County, the California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI) will offer students across the state and beyond a blend of world-class education, a state-of-the-art campus, and a vibrant college community. Curriculum
California State University Channel Islands offers students a solid education with modern computer labs, comprehensive libraries and career development resources. Students may take classes in multiple disciplines of the university's curriculum. Running on a semester system, the university offers undergraduate majors and minors in art, biology, business, computer science, English, environmental science and resource management, liberal studies and mathematics. In addition, students may complete coursework to earn teaching credentials.
Career Services
California State University Channel Islands provides career development services to assist students in achieving their educational, career and employment goals. Resources include: computer training, career counseling, resume writing workshops, interview strategy workshops, internship opportunities, student employment, graduate leadership opportunities and community volunteer opportunities.
Student Development
The university encourages a well-balanced college lifestyle, and will offer student activities, clubs and organizations, multi-cultural programs, recreational programs and a fitness center. Also, CSUCI will assist new freshman and transfer students with their transition to college life by providing extra-curricular and leadership opportunities.
