WHAT: California State University Channel Islands President Richard R. Rush will deliver an address to University staff and administration to welcome them to the 2008-09 academic year, introduce new projects, recognize the successes of the 2007-08 academic year, and outline plans for the upcoming year.

DETAILS: All University staff members and administrators are invited to attend “Coffee with the President.” At this event, University President Richard R. Rush will speak candidly about achievements and recognitions the University has received in the past year—including recent national awards for “outstanding design” of the dining commons and Santa Cruz Village, student housing; the growing notoriety of many of the University’s academic programs; and the campus culture that makes CSU/CI different from other campuses. Rush also will mention future plans for a performing arts facility on campus.
