Camarillo, Calif., April 3, 2008—California State University Channel Islands President Richard R. Rush will deliver his State of the University address at the Oxnard Chamber of Commerce’s Good Morning Oxnard breakfast on Thursday, April 10 at the Residence Inn. The event will begin at 7:15 a.m. and Rush will speak shortly after.

The event is sponsored by CSUCI and the Oxnard Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are $20 for Oxnard Chamber members and $27 for non-members if made by Monday, April 7. Rush will speak about milestone events that occurred at the University in 2007, including: Accreditation granted by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges; the acquisition of 153 acres for a new University entrance roadway; groundbreaking for the Martin V. Smith Center for Integrative Decision-Making; and the recently completed John Spoor Broome Library. He will also outline some of the University’s goals for 2008.
