WHAT: Dr. Mary C. Daly, Vice President, Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco will give a presentation titled: “Inequality-Trends, Patterns and Policy Options for the US and California.” Daly is a Vice President in the Applied Microeconomic Research section of the Economic Research Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. She is also Regional Developments Director of the Center for the Study of Innovation and Productivity (CSIP). Prior to joining the Bank, Daly received a doctorate in economics from Syracuse University and completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship at Northwestern University. Daly's research interests include immigration, income inequality, and Social Security and welfare policy. In addition to doing research, Daly monitors and analyzes economic activity in the nine states of the 12th Federal Reserve District.
