Camarillo, Calif., March 25, 2005 – More than 80 regional employers will be discussing internships and current and anticipated job openings at the California State University Channel Islands 3rd Annual Career Fair, scheduled for Thursday, April 28, 2005, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

The fair attracts a large cross-section of students from CSUCI and community colleges, as well as residents of Ventura County, who will be able to talk to representatives from local and national companies, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations that are recruiting part-time and full-time employees and interns.

The event allows companies and organizations to gain exposure not only to prospective employees but to other companies and the University community as well. Representatives from a variety of career fields and academic majors may actively recruit and interview talented individuals from diverse communities.

An employer booth includes a table, identifying sign, and two chairs. In addition, each company or organization will be provided with a parking pass for one vehicle, continental breakfast, lunch, and a listing in an employer directory. The cost of a booth is $115 by April 1 or $125 from April 2 – 11.

The event is free and open to the public.  Community attendees are encouraged to use the complimentary shuttle service available at the Ventura Boulevard and Lewis Road Metrolink Station. Attendees should reference “Career Fair” and board the Vista Bus to the campus. Those driving to the event should follow event signs to parking, which will cost $6 for the day.

For more information or to register for a booth, contact the CSUCI Career Center at 805-437-3270 or career.services@csuci.ed.
