Camarillo, Calif., Aug. 29, 2007—The Martin V. Smith School of Business & Economics at California State University Channel Islands is sponsoring a bicycle team for the 2007 Start to Finish MS Bike Tour. This event raises funds for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

The event will be held on Oct. 20 and 21. The tour is a 150 mile ride that will take riders from Camarillo through the Ojai Valley and end in Santa Barbara on the first day and day two will take the riders along the ocean, through the strawberry fields of Oxnard and end back in Camarillo.

The MVS sponsored team is the CSUCI Dolphins and is currently six riders strong. There is an opportunity for more riders to join the CSUCI team. Participants will receive a limited edition CSUCI cycling jersey. Limited to the first 25 riders. Each team member must raise $350. Funds raised by all who participate in the 2007 Start to Finish MS Bike Tour support research and provide programs and services to individuals with multiple sclerosis and their families.

There are also volunteer opportunities that are non-cycling related. The CSUCI Dolphin team needs volunteers to help with rest stops along the ride and some of the administrative work related to the fund raising.
