Camarillo, Calif., October 22, 2003 - California State University Channel Islands will be holding a parking lot sale of used furniture on Friday, October 24, and Saturday, October 25. The sale will consist of furniture that has been salvaged as the University has restored and expanded the former site of the Camarillo State Hospital. Furniture items that have not been used by the University or archived for historic value will be sold to the local community at greatly discounted prices. Items for sale will include wood and metal desks, file cabinets, storage cabinets, and office/lobby chairs. Proceeds from the parking lot sale will benefit University programs.

The sale will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, and from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, in parking lot A8 on campus. The buyers will be responsible for the loading and securing of their purchases.
