Camarillo, Calif., August 7, 2003 - Three information/advisement sessions regarding the University's teaching credential programs will be held at California State University Channel Islands. Beginning in the fall 2003 semester, two new teaching credential programs will be offered in addition to the current multiple subject credential program. The sessions will introduce the special education credential program in mild/moderate disabilities, the single subject credentials in English, math, and science, and provide information on admission.

The sessions will be held Monday, August 11 (1:00 to 3:00 p.m.), Tuesday, August 19 (4:30 to 6:30 p.m.), and Thursday, September 11 (12:00 to 2:00 p.m.). Each session will be in Room 154 of the Professional Building on campus.

Potential teaching credential students are strongly encouraged to attend an information/advisement session before applying to one of the programs.  The spring 2004 semester deadline for applications to all teaching credential programs at CSU Channel Islands is October 1, 2003.
