July 13, 2021 - Associate Professor of Chemistry Ahmed Awad, Ph.D., has received $98,390 from Parker
Hannifin Corporation in support of a project entitled "“Redox-active Materials Synthesis Support and pH Measurements".
According to Professor Awad, the project focuses on "... the development and synthesis of polymeric (molecules or other units connected to one another) materials required to engineer advanced laboratory instruments, such as a pH sensor that can measure acidity changes during an oxidation-reduction (Redox) reaction. These measurements involve cutting-edge technologies that require the highest degree of accuracy and precision.”
This grant from Parker Hannifin will give CSUCI students the opportunity to work hands-on in a laboratory and discover more about their industry.
