April 5, 2018 - Juan F. Carrillo, associate professor in the School of Education at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and the founding Director of the UNC Latin@ Education Research Hub, will visit CSUCI on Wednesday, April 11. Professor Carrillo will present his research on the schooling trajectories of Latino working class male students and academics that have achieved academic success. He will also talk about his published book, "Barrio Nerds: Schooling, Identity, and the Politics of Home."
The presentation will take place Wednesday, April 11 from noon to 1 p.m. at El Dorado Hall.
