Hoby WedlerApril 6, 2018 - Hoby Wedler, Ph.D., will visit CSUCI on Monday, April 25 from 6-7:15 p.m. to give the 4th Annual Chemistry Distinguished Lecture, "Blind Innovation: The Art and Scienc of Chemistry and Universal Accessibility."  The free lecture will take place in Aliso Hall 150 and is open to the public. 

Mr. Wedler has been blind since birth.  He earned his Ph.D. in chemistry at UC Davis, is a sensory expert and the founder and director of Accessible Science, a California 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. His career currently focuses on sensory design and he recently co-founded Senspoint LLC, a sensory advising and education company.  In addition to his incredible work in the sensory field, he was honored at the White House by President Barack Obama in 2012, as one of his Champions of Change for enhancing educational and employment opportunities for Americans with disabilities. Forbes Magazine also recognized him in 2016 as one of their "30 Under 30" in the food and drink category.
