April 16, 2019 - The Art Program, Chemistry Program, SACNAS at CI, and WISE, are pleased to bring you Karen Trentelman, Senior Scientist in the Technical Studies Research Group of the Getty Conservation Institute. Her talk, "Art as Evidence: the Scientific Examination of Works of Art," will present examples of art conservation focused on a wide range of objects in the collection of the J. Paul Getty Museum, from Egyptian mummies to paintings by Rembrandt.
The lecture will be held on Thursday, April 18 at 4 p.m. in the Petit Salon. The schedule for the evening will be as follows:
