Jan. 23, 2019 - Public service leadership is just as important now as it was a fifty years ago. Public servants are key to ensuring the public has representatives to protect their best interest(s) and work together for the greater good. To help college students better understand Congress and the American government, The Stennis Center for Public Service Leadership and The U.S. Association of Former Members of Congress have partnered together to present the Congress to Campus program.

Congress to Campus provides students with the opportunity to interact with former members of Congress and hear about their experiences in one of the world's greatest deliberative bodies.

On Wednesday, Feb. 6, our  University will welcome Rep. Sam Farr (CA-D) and Rep. Jim Coyne (R-PA) to the campus to share their experiences in Congress and in working with the American government. This bipartisan team will meet at noon in the Grand Salon to help students understand how Congress works and share their thoughts on current political issues. This interactive experience will allow students to ask questions and gain valuable insight into how the government works.
