Dear Campus Community:
As you may have heard, Governor Newsom has declared a state of emergency for California in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. This declaration will assist the state by providing necessary federal resources to help combat and respond to COVID-19.
At this time, there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ventura County or connected to any CSUCI students, faculty or staff, and the campus will remain open and classes will continue as scheduled.
The health and safety of our campus community is our top priority and drives our preparation efforts for this new virus. CSUCI is closely monitoring reports and advisories from Ventura County officials and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
A group of key individuals from the campus (Communicable Disease Working Group) have been actively planning and preparing for actions related to this public health situation and providing University leadership and the campus community with updates. We encourage you to review the University’s Communicable Disease Preparedness and Response Plan (PDF, 177KB).
Additionally, we have added coronavirus information to our website along with important Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). Please keep in mind that this outbreak is a very fluid situation and we are working diligently to provide you with the most current and accurate information.
