Dear Campus Community:
CSUCI’s top priority is the health and safety of our students, faculty, and staff. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the University has developed a comprehensive case management process to ensure that reporting positive cases or possible exposure is accessible and convenient.
If you or someone you know from our campus community tests positive for COVID-19 or has been exposed to the virus, please share this information immediately by submitting a report. A member of the CSUCI COVID-19 Case Management Team will receive your report and follow-up accordingly. Please note that all information, including the name(s) of the ill persons, provided regarding any exposure investigation is confidential in order to protect patient privacy and will only be shared with the Case Management Team and Ventura County Public Health.
If you are sick or have recently had close contact with a person with COVID-19, you should stay home. Residential students who are sick or have had close contact with a person with COVID-19 should remain within their campus accommodations and contact Housing & Residential Education staff for next steps. If you or someone you know is suffering from serious illness requiring immediate medical attention, please call 9-1-1 without delay.
All confirmed COVID-19 cases should be isolated and close contacts quarantined for 14 days from last exposure in order to prevent illness in new persons. “Close contact” means having close (within 6 feet) and prolonged contact (generally longer than 15 minutes) with a person who tested positive for COVID-19 during the exposure period.
The CSUCI COVID-19 Case Management Team will provide you and/or the CSUCI person(s) who tests positive or have been exposed to the virus with guidance on steps to be taken, as well as offer resources or support. Should you have any questions or have issues accessing the reporting form, please email: healthycsuci@csuci.edu.
We appreciate your support with preventing and submitting timely reports to help protect the spread of this virus.
