Oct. 16, 2017 - In an effort to continue raising awareness about the importance of digital security, the Information Security office has some times on keeping your home network safe.
Your home's wireless router is the primary entrance for cyber criminals to access all of your connected devices. Secure your Wi-Fi network and your digital devices by changing the factory-set default password.
It is also important to regularly update the software on your Internet-connected devices, including PC's, smartphones and tablets, to reduce the risk of infection from malware. Keeping device software up to date will prevent attackers from being able to take advantage of known vulnerabilities.
