Oct. 12, 2018 - The 10th annual Day of the Dead events will be held throughout the rest of October, culminating in a Celebration of Life on Thursday, Nov. 1.
The Day of the Dead is a celebration and remembrance of those who have passed away, that is underscored by ofrendas, or home altars, containing items the individual enjoyed in life. Celebrate your loved ones and learn more about the Day of the Dead by participating in the activities and celebration:
- Oct. 17: Felt food ofrendas, noon to 1:15 p.m. in the Petit Salon
- Oct. 20: Film screening of COCO, 7:30 p.m. at the South Quad
- Oct. 24: Flowers for the Day of the Dead Altars, noon to 1:15 p.m. in SUB 1080
- Oct. 26: Altar Creation Reception, noon to 1:30 p.m. in Broome 1320
- Nov. 1: Celebration of Life, 5 to 9 p.m. at the Broome Library Plaza
