Oct. 3, 2022 - CSUCI has upgraded to a new Degree Planner and Schedule Builder this fall.
The campus purchased the new Degree Planner to ensure equitable access to digital degree planners and eliminate barriers to graduation as part of efforts to address the Graduation Initiative 2025 equity priorities adopted by California State University in fall 2021.
The Degree Planner is a digitized and dynamic road map that helps students stay on track to graduate, and the Schedule Builder helps students select the ideal schedule. Users can fully plan semesters, move courses and create what-if scenarios. Once semesters have been planned in Degree Planner and the Schedule of Classes becomes available, the Schedule Builder shows students the availability of different weekly schedules based on students’ course selections.
As part of the Student Success Tools, which also include the CARR (CI Academic Requirements Report), the Degree Planner and Schedule Builder give students an updated, real-time experience while supplying the campus with course demand data to enhance planning. With these new tools, undergraduate students will have the best chance of staying on track and completing their degrees in a timely manner.
