CSUCI Global StudiesMarch 15, 2018 - On March 29 at 1:30 p.m. in Del Norte 3540, Dr. Ted Lehmann will be a guest speaker of the Global Studies program. Lehmann, formerly of Hamilton College, is currently the Dean of Social Sciences at Excelsior College. His new book, "The Geopolitics of Global Energy: The New Cost of Plenty," explores how powerful state and private actors determine which of the world's many energy resources are developed, and how societies are molded to accommodate those decisions.

In this talk, Dr. Lehmann will focus on the controversial exploitation of Iraq's oil after the 2003 US occupation and the impact on global energy politics.

While this presentation is part of the International Political Economy course, all are welcome to attend.
