Educational ActivismSept. 8, 2020 - On Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 6 to 7 p.m., Broome Library will host its first Faculty Lecture Series session. Join CSUCI Dance Professors Heather Castillo and MiRi Park via Zoom for "Educational Activism: Fusing Scholarship with Performance to Bridge the Knowledge Gap."

Attendees will learn about how these two professors produced a virtual read-in series featuring 34 prominent black actors from stage and screen to read historian W.E.B. Du Bois’ magnum opus "Black Reconstruction in America" to a new generation of readers, students, audience members and activists.
