April 6, 2022 - For many first-generation and working class college students, pathways to graduate school can be even murkier than those that lead them to a four-year institution in the first place. For undergraduate students who wish to pursue an advanced degree, navigating the application process can be a daunting task.
Students in CSUCI's School of Education graduate program want to help. This semester, they have formed an informal mentorship collective, Un Proyecto de Encuentro, aimed at helping undergraduate students who wish to pursue a master's degree in higher education. This program pairs graduate students and alumni (the mentors) with undergraduate students so they can discuss and explore their mutual interests related to attending graduate school.
Undergraduates who are interested in connecting with a mentor should search the open educational repository page on the Library's website, review the mentor profiles, and reach out to schedule a 30-minute Zoom meeting.
