Sept. 11, 2019 - The Performing Arts Dance program is pleased to announce its first Hip Hop Dance Masters Series. The series will feature three hip hop dance workshops and lectures from guests specializing in hip hop dance forms and who have worked in the commercial dance industry. 

The first class will be held Monday, Sept. 16 from 4 to 6 p.m. in Malibu Hall 120. Gui Dasilva will be on hand to lead the class in a demonstration of the Harlem dance form known as Litefeet, followed by a discussion of his career as a martial artist (Taekwondo, Capoeira, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu), dancer, stuntperson, and actor. Gui's career has spanned from touring with Chris Brown, performing with concert dance choreographer Doug Elkins, to stunt work in the "Avengers" franchise, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," "Pacific Rim," and "Transformers," among other film and television projects.
