April 25, 2019 - It's time to get astrophysical! 180 million light years away and a beat you can dance to, Let's Get Astrophysical is a transformative, high-energy musical that will be presented at the annual Arts Under the Stars event on May 3 & 4 at El Dorado Park.
This landmark concert is an unusual fusion of science and art, astronomy and music! It features actors, dancers, a light show and a stunning high-definition video from NASA/JPL. Fiorella Terenzi, Ph.D., Physics Lecturer, will portray herself, acting as a professor of astronomy and a musician playing her Acoustic Astronomy sounds from space live via her keyboard. Together with her students, they will embark on an empowering journey to unite reason and imagination. Come and jam with the cosmos!
In the ASTR 107 course, students study astronomy like never before, with a hands-on creation of a space opera that they perform, produce and record themselves! Get a glimpse of what's in store.
