Marine Debris sculptureApril 13, 2108 - An illuminated jellyfish sculpture created by three CSUCI students will debut Monday night, April 16, during College Night at the Getty, which runs from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

The sculpture, which is designed to draw attention to plastic pollution and marine debris, will then go on display at the Getty for a week.

The sculpture, which was designed and built by two ESRM students and one Art student, is part of a three-department collaboration in which Performing Arts, ESRM and Art students and faculty pulled together to create the project under the direction of Ethan Estess, who runs an arts and education NGO from Santa Cruz called CounterCurrent.

Then, the sculpture will be part of “Arts Under the Stars” performances on campus May 4 & 5.

College Night is free to all Southern California college students and features an evening of music, food, gallery tours, workshops and more. Visit http://www.getty.edu/education/college/center_collegenight_2018.html  to learn more and get your (FREE) tickets!
